Welcome to Space Camp!
Satellite Week
We offer one week summer programs with a focus on satellite technology. The goal of these camps is to offer engaging, inspiring, educational experiences for students from underrepresented backgrounds in the aerospace field.
The majority of our students attend on full scholarships.
What to Expect
During satellite week, students learn the basics of satellites and remote sensing through hands-on projects. Students build weather stations, launch them on weather balloons, and analyze the data. We have also introduced other activities such as robotic rovers, model rockets, and space weather forecasting.
After Camp
When camp ends, we don't forget about our students! We like to keep in touch and offer new opportunities as they arise. We have connected alumni with internships, scholarships, and conferences.
Most of our staff are former Space Camp participants! Check out our Staff and Collaborators Page to see how our current and former staff members and interns went from being a Destination SPACE student to developing new technology for mentoring the next generation of STEM professionals.
