In coordination with Aerospace Corporation and Destination SPACE, Inc. are offering a hands-on STEM Space Camp to high school students August 3-6 2020. This camp will be entirely remote.
This four-day camp is able to provide an engaging, hands-on technical education opportunity for students from backgrounds underrepresented in STEM fields.
Destination Aerospace Camp will focus on the following: fundamentals of electronics, satellite engineering, data analytics, climatology, and remote sensing. Students will be part of teams that each build their own programmable robots and weather stations and small rockets as well. Students are able to analyze and report the data they collect from their weather stations from their backyard. Students do not have to have prior knowledge in these fields in order to participate. The Destination Aerospace Team leaders will gladly walk each student step-by-step through each activity and topic!
Students will gain a solid foundation of research experience and leadership skills along with establishing a professional network. We aim that through this camp, it will contribute to their confidence to pursue education and careers in the STEM fields.
