Olivia Sokos
Olivia graduated Summa Cum Laude from West Virginia University in May of 2021 with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Anthropology. She is the current AmeriCorps VISTA for the NASA Katherine Johnson IV&V Education Resource Center In Fairmont, West Virginia, where her position is dedicated to expanding NASA centric and other stem based programs throughout the state. She is working with Destination SPACE to assist in the development of a fully funded, two-week summer Space Camp at Fairmont State University, exclusively for West Virginia youth in foster care. Her work is done in conjunction with the national non-profit organization, First Star, whose mission is to support and ensure the successful transition of foster youth to higher education and adulthood through the development of academic and life skills.
